Lloyd Ray Hampton, 59, of Tucumcari, died Monday, Jan. 17, 2005, at his home.
He was born on May 28, 1946, in Clovis, to Gus and Lillis Hampton. He was a Vietnam veteran. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad and owned his own truck for hauling cattle. For the past 12 years he drove for Bell Gas of Roswell.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Larry and H.D. Hampton.
Survivors include his wife, Becky Hampton; a son, Chad Hampton (and wife, Patti) of Dalhart, Texas; a daughter, Adrianne Lacki (Bob) of Arlington, Texas; a grandson, Wyatt Hampton of Dalhart; two step-children, Charles George (Tracy) and Cheryl Sellers (Casey), both of Tucumcari; two sisters, Garthalene Shaw of Yukon, Okla., and Nedra Kling of Lakewood, N.Y.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Angel Fund at Helping Hands Hospice, 615 S. 2nd St., Tucumcari, N.M. 88401.
Arrangements are by Direct Funeral Services of Albuquerque.
