Henry Osmer Hudson, 82, of Clovis, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005, at his home.
He was born April 5, 1922, to Luther O. and Clara Bostick Hudson in Forrest. He married Marrion Woods on June 9, 1951, in Lubbock. He was a rancher in House. He served in the U.S. Army Infantry in Italy during World War II, and was awarded the Bronze Star. He was a member of Kingswood United Methodist Church and a past member of House Rotary Club. He graduated from New Mexico State University in 1948 with a degree in Animal Science.
He is survived by his wife, a son, Mark Hudson (and wife, Virginia) of Honolulu, Hawaii; two daughters, Katherine Smothers (Larry) of Severn, Md., and Claire Dutrow (Ralph) of McLean, Va; a brother, Tom Hudson (Doris) of Clovis; nine grandchildren, Nick and Josh Donegan, Courtney Hudson, Stuart and Sara Smothers, William and Amelia Dutrow, Becky Swab-Hudson and Jessica Hudson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Paul Hudson.
The Rev. Brad Reeves will officiate service. Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories.
Pallbearers will be Herb Hartle, Tye Curtis, Phil Lyons, Bill Runyan, Max Best, and Jimmy Webb.
Honorary Pallbearers include Leo Moon, McDonald’s Coffee Group, Johnson Bible Class, Jack Akin, Wendell Reagan and John Davis.
Memorial contributions may be made to Kingswood United Methodist Church, 2600 N. Main St., Clovis, N.M. 88101.
Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis.
