Byrd Jerry and Laurie Byrd of Clovis are the parents of a 6-pound girl born on Sept. 9, 2003, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis. Her name is Emily Dawn Byrd. Her grandparents are Don and Sheryl Reid and Karl and Barbara Kos, all of Clovis, and Ed and Sue Byrd of Abilene, Texas. Her great-grandparents are Viola and Tommy Fickling, Dorothy and Walter Baldock and the late Jim Reid and Jo Perkins and the late Wayne Perkins, all of Clovis.
