PLANO, Texas — Seven players scored goals as Texas A&M-Commerce, ranked ninth in NCAA Division II, shut out Eastern New Mexico University 8-0 on Sunday in Lone Star Conference women’s soccer.
The first-year Zias (2-5, 1-1 LSC) were coming off a 2-1 victory at Texas Woman’s on Friday in the program’s first league match. The Lions (10-0-2, 2-0) got a goal from Emily Brueggemann 90 seconds into the match and led 3-0 at halftime.
Sunday’s contest was moved to Plano after overnight thunderstorms left TAMC’s home turf unplayable.
