Quessie Mae Martin Services: Have been held. Ms. Quessie Mae Martin, 60, of Clovis, a homemaker, died Monday, July 14, 2003, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis. She was born on Oct. 17, 1942, in Clovis, to James T. and Clara Norman Wauford. She was a lifetime resident of Clovis. She married James Earl Martin on May 31, 1958, in Muleshoe, Texas. She was a member of the First Church of God in Christ and family members said she enjoyed going to her grandchildren’s basketball games. She was preceded in death by her husband; and a brother, Wilma Wauford. She is survived by her mother; two daughters, Dianna Porter of Abilene, Texas, and Teresa Slocum of Clovis; two sons, Tony Martin of Abilene, Texas, and Tracey Martin of Roswell; four brothers, Robert Wauford of Clovis, Joe and James Wauford, both of Gallup, and J.T. Wauford of California; a sister, Bertha Thomas of Dallas; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Bishop W. Charles Green will officiate the services. Burial will be at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis. Pallbearers will be Bruce Pollard, William Hall, Ronnie Anaya, Petie Davis, Mark Kinney and Simeon Martin. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis.
