ARTESIA — Jill Southard set two school records and was in on four winning events Saturday, helping Clovis High’s girls to the team championship in the Artesia Invitational.

Southard set school marks in the 200 freestyle (2:05.67) and 500 freestyle (5:31.08), and also swam on winning 200 medley and 200 freestyle relay teams.

The Lady Wildcats finished with 150 points to 108 for runnerup Socorro in a six-school competition.

Clovis’ boys, meantime, were second in a field of eight with 125 points, eight behind Hobbs. The Wildcats got wins from Nick de Maio in the 200 freestyle, Lucas Brock in the 500 free style and the 200 freestyle relay team.
