Duwain Hill took a five-vote victory in the only contested race in Tuesday night's Curry County school board elections.
Hill received 58 votes to 53 for James W. Miller for Texico's Position 4 seat.
County board members keeping seats include Max Best and Lola Bryant (Clovis), Bill Page and Phillip Joe Borden (Grady), Ben Widener and Keith McAlister in Melrose and Justin Barnes in Texico.
In Fort Sumner, Cody West and Scot Stinnet won the two at-large slots in a five-way race.
