Central Clovis is experiencing a power outage that began at 3:15 p.m.

 Xcel Spokesman Wes Reeves said the outage occurred when a fuse blew in a substation that serves central Clovis.

Reeves said that crews are working to restore power and service should not  be interrupted for long.
