Gomez Army Pvt. Gonzalo Gomez has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Gomez is the son of Maria Gomez of Clovis. Hyre Navy seaman recruit Jeffrey W. Hyre, son of Patrice and Steven Hyre of Clovis, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Hyre is a 2005 graduate of House High School. Morford Marine Corps Pvt. Gary Morford, son of Paul and Betty Tiedemann of Clovis, completed basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.C.
