Mary “Sue” Booth, 81, of Clovis, died Monday, April 24, 2006, at Laurel Plains Nursing Home.
Born May 31, 1924, to David William and Myrtle Banks Colligan in Portales, she married Rex Booth on Nov. 19, 1946, in Portales. She graduated from Eastern New Mexico University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She was employed at the Portales News-Tribune during World War II and was a retired teacher.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
She is survived by a daughter, Evelyn Ann Smith (and husband, Jerry) of Elida; a sister, Martha Ann Brown of Ruidoso; a grandchild, Maura Griffith of Alabama; two great-grandchildren, Caleb and Mercedes Griffin, both of Alabama; and several nieces and nephews.
Lunch will be served at noon Wednesday at the Elida Methodist Church.
Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home.
