ARTESIA — Clovis High’s girls finished seventh with 17 points while the boys tied for sixth with three points over the weekend in Artesia’s Bulldog Invittaional.
Onate swept both divisions of the eight-team event. The Knights collected 42 points on the boys’ side, followed by Mesilla Valley with 37, New Mexico Military 30 and Alamogordo 27.
In the girls portion of the event, Onate finished with 38 points to edge out Alamogordo with 30, Lovington with 29, Portales with 28m, Artesia with 27 and Mesilla Valley with 26.
Clovis squads are off until April 13 when they travel to Hobbs for a tournament.
