Clovis High’s will face Hobbs in a 7 p.m. Tuesday playoff game at Roswell High to determine the top seed in this week’s District 4-5A tournament.

Hobbs (22-4, 3-1) handed the Lady Wildcats (24-2, 3-1) a 53-43 loss on Friday in Hobbs to create the tie. Tuesday’s loser will host Carlsbad in a semifinal game on Thursday, with Tuesday’s winner hosting the tourney championship game on Saturday night.

In three-team District 3-1A, the Fort Sumner Vixens and Melrose Lady Buffs will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in Logan to determine the tournament championship game host. All three teams went 2-2 in the district, but Logan was accorded the third seed in the tournament because of tiebreakers.
